We have a tendency to look upon the advent of Christian theology, as the end of Judaism and the beginning of a new faith, rather than examine how Yeshua brought a fulfilling to Judaism. In the first century the disciples attended synagogue and continued to practice Judaism, and preached Yeshua as Messiah. Miracles were performed at the hands of the disciples, and the word of Jehovah was shared and preached, so much so the their numbers continued to grow from 3,500 men on one day, Pentecost in to several thousand more before being joined by the nations, gentiles. In fact apostolic guidance was requested by the assemblies on what to do with gentiles and circumcision. Because the Torah commanded that each male be circumcised on the eighth day of life, there was no command in the Torah of adulthood circumcision with the exception of servants or slaves of Abraham, for example. Because circumcision had nothing to do with salvation as determined by James and the brethren in Acts 15. Gentiles present in the Synagogues on the Sabbath was an added element to the otherwise “common” Judaism practiced. It was not a new religion, but a continuation of the same Judaism. When the Temple was destroyed by Titus, that is when animal sacrifices stopped because there was no longer a Temple in Jerusalem for sacrifices to continue. The Bible does not clearly speak to the use of what remained of the Temple after the crucifixion of Yeshua, due to significant structural damage caused by the earthquake that immediately followed the crucifixion. Given that Paul lived in the era leading up to the temple destruction, and following James request to publicly complete the Nazarene vow, it can be assumed that the temple was repaired sufficiently to accommodate sacrifices. Important to note that such sacrifices were to be offered only in the Temple in Jerusalem.

I have become more convinced of Annihilation over the last 7 years. A few days ago, I contemplated the rich man in Hades. I started to wonder if he is only punished for a time in exchange for what he did to Lazerus. The victim is able to watch their abuser get tormented across a gulf. Then, after the punishment is paid out, I consider that even the rich man will come to Paradise and reconcile with Lazerus. I have seen passages that indicate even the saved will go through a fire testing their works. So, Hades could have more to do with justice for sin against our fellow man, while the lake of fire is for sin against God. Which we all deserve, but in Christ, that sin has been paid! You are the first person I have seen that has considered that view. Most annihilationists believe in soul sleep, but I see too much in scripture to indicate a conscious soul existing until the final judgement.

David, the reason why Jesus Christ disciples asked for sign of his coming Kingdom was because they already knew that it would not be a visible kingdom so they asked for a sign that they could see visibly and know that the kingdom had come sir and that sign was none other than the destruction of Jerusalem! That was the sign! The sign of God's invisible kingdom coming was the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD! I don't know how I can make that any clearer. The only way to enter the kingdom of God is to put off our mortal bodies and become immortal like God and Jesus. That is our hope and that is our destiny for people who love God. A physical kingdom of God can never be a solution to our problems. He's already tried that it doesn't work.

i hadn't considered before now that the message of "your sins are forgiven" to the paralytic that it was for his benefit of heart and for peace to him so that he would be able to fully accept the gift of healing. Perhaps the man's heart was troubled for so long that his parents' sin or his own sin had kept him in paralysis.
